The Beatles
I love The Beatles. I always have. I've never had any doubt about it. The first I heard about them was from a friend, Chucky. We were walking up his driveway and he told me about a story in Time or Newsweek where kids in England were going bizerk about some pop band, there were some kind of riots, and the music was making kids crazy and happy. I had no clue.
A few months later they were on Ed Sullivan. Everything changed, nothing was the same after that.
You were in a car crash, and you lost your hair, you said you would be late, about an hour or two. I said that's alright I'm waiting here, just waiting to hear from you.
Nearly my whole life has been aided and abetted by The Beatles' and their music. In my blood, in my muscles, in my hands and feet, in my dreams, in my hopes. Their music has been the soundtrack of my life. Still is.
No one will be watching us. Why don't we do it in the road?
There's no way to thank them, guess it doesn't matter anymore. Thanks for the new box set of CDs. Shake it up baby, can't stop twisting and shouting! Dancing in my living room, nose-bleed loud! Yeah, yeah, yeah!
When I cannot sing my heart, I can only speak my mind. You know it's gonna be. Alright. Alright. Alright, alright, alright.
It never got better than this.
